Jaguar Classic launches the E-Type “Reborn” – Acquire
Jaguar is following Land Rover’s lead with a “Reborn” series of its own, as the brand resurrects one of the most beautiful cars in automotive history, the E-Type. The new Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works facility in Coventry, England will be offering an initial run of ten cars, all of which will be based on the 1965 Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe 4.2.
Built to original 1960s factory specification, the restoration team was given full access to build records and original drawings and each E-Type is carefully chosen from the Series 1 cars that were built from 1961 to 1968. Those cars include a 265-hp in-line six, four speed manual, rear wheel drive, and has a top speed of 150 mph with a 0-60 time of 7 seconds.
